Granite Mortar with Pestle
A small variant of grinding chakki/machine/utensil used from ancient times in Indian household kitchen. It is also called as Okhli in Hindi and is used for crushing and grinding the herbs and raw spices into a fine paste or powder.
Now a days it is best used to make a fine paste of ginger and garlic, crushing raw black pepper, coriander seeds and many more. Also it is perfect to prepare Italian Pesto dressing.
